Generative art inspired by cellular automata. Iterative programs produce black and white patterns on a pixel grid, following a set of randomly chosen rules. A ‘meta-program’ arranges these patterns into an 8x8 grid of squares, revealing visual trends among images with similar input. The code produces different and sometimes unexpected results every time it is run. One result is selected to be displayed on the wall (12’x12’) and several others on a table, suggesting the seemingly infinite number of possible outputs.
